Amazing Morning of Fishing!

This is incredible! Guests at Vacationaire, Jarl and Judy Iverson of Fargo, ND, had a spectacular morning of fishing on September 27. What's more amazing is that they caught this stringer of fish right off of the dock! Look at the smiles on their faces! Congratulations to you both for a very successful fishing trip.

Autism Family Vacations

We purchased Vacationaire for many different reasons. With Jim being a licensed psychologist and having a passion for helping people develop healthy relationships, he envisioned Vacationaire as a place for families who have been touched by a child with Autism to vacation. Thus the Autism Family Vacations at Vacationaire are born. They will be a 3 to 4 day tailor-made emotional health retreat for anyone who is part of your family. They could include outings, couples, siblings and family therapy as well as real-time counseling to help with issues that are affecting your family right now. We want Vacationaire to be a place where you and your family strengthen your relationships with each other by receiving emotional support from our staff of caring therapists. Vacationaire will be partnering with Power of Relationships P.A. to bring this to a reality. For more information on PoR please visit their website at www.powerofrelationships.com . It's all just beginning and we are in the process of creating and updating so please check back to find out more about The Autism Family Vacations.

Kids Ideas

I, Stephanie, went to Bemidji State University and received a BS degree in Elementary Education. I love kids and would love to teach again. This picture is of Whelan, in the hat, and Jim creating a masterpiece! Soon I will be starting Kid's Classes at Vacationaire. I'd love to do afternoon and/or weekend craft classes. Tell me what you think. They will be craft type classes for all ages girls and boys. It will be a little tricky to find items that appeal to both boys and girls but I will do my best to offer a variety. They will be extremely cost friendly and may combine a meal and a craft at times. I'm looking at $5.00-$10.00 for a fee which would include the materials and food. What is the best way to advertise these offerings? How do I let the community know what's available? We are also going to offer Open Swim times for a small fee...$2.00 a person. These two ideas can also be worked into a Fabulous Birthday Party. A Swimming Party, a Craft Party or both! I think this would be a great time for everyone! Again, how do we advertise these options? I'd love to hear what you think!
